Annual Holiday Art Sale returns to UA Little Rock
Find a perfect, locally-made holiday gift this season at UA Little Rock. The annual student, alumni, and faculty Holiday Art Sale returns for a two-day event on Nov. 29-30.
The Holiday Art Sale gives student artists a chance to learn about the fast-paced world of buying and selling art and what it takes to earn a living as an artist.
All proceeds will be used for scholarships and student support initiatives in the UA Little Rock departments of art and design, music, and theatre arts and dance.
The two-day event will begin with a reception and art sale preview from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at the new Windgate Center of Art and Design. Reception tickets are $50 for general admission and $25 for UA Little Rock employees.
Patrons who attend the art reception will have the first chance to purchase an array of unique and beautiful items from the UA Little Rock Department of Art and Design Holiday Art Sale ahead of the general public. During the reception, guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, libations, and good company while viewing live demos from artists in a wide range of mediums including painting, wheel throwing, and pewter and bronze casting.
On Friday, Nov. 30, the Holiday Art Sale will open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Windgate Center of Art and Design. This sale, which is free to attend, is a great opportunity to buy handmade holiday gifts from local artists while also supporting UA Little Rock students.
