KUAR/KLRE Offers Fun, Fellowship Sept. 16

The Friends of KLRE/KUAR, the nonprofit organization that helps fund the stations of UALR Public Radio, invites listeners and fans of public radio to its annual meeting and reception at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at the Jack Stephens Center, 28th Street and University Avenue.

Highlighting the reception will be a performance by the Boondogs, a Little Rock indie-folk-rock hybrid.

Catered by Red Door and O’Looney’s, the annual gathering will be an opportunity for listeners to visit with the staff members and independent producers who contribute to UALR Public Radio. The business agenda of the meeting will include a station update by General Manager Ben Fry, election of Friends of KLRE/KUAR board members, and the presentation of the Beverly Ann Lacefield Award for Outstanding Service.

Admission is free, but reservations are required. Call 501-569-8485 or email reservations@kuar.org.
