Chili Raises Funds for American Humanics Group

The aromas of fall were on display in Ledbetter Meeting Room B Friday, Nov. 13, for the American Humanics Student Association’s annual Chili Cook-Off, where 153 members of the UALR community sampled and offerings by 15 teams.

The three-judge panel voted unanimously for the Student Nurses’ Association’s concoction.

Construction management’s chili won Student Favorite, and the Office of Human Resources won Best Booth.

Dean Darryl McGee of the Office of Educational Student Services; Betsy Hart of Community Engagement, and Fox 16 Anchor Donna Terrell served as judges.

Teams competing this year included the Make- a-Wish Foundation, Office of Records and Registration; the Office of Communications; the Anthropology Club, the Office of Finance and Administration, the Office of Research Sponsored Programs, the Housing Activity Council; JPMS and Cox LLC; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, the Office of Development, and the student association Food Not Bombs.

The cook-off raised $300 for AHSA.
