The Alumni Association is offering 200 free tickets to Sunday’s Trojan basketball game to member volunteers who lent a hand to make this semester’s Alumni events successes.

“We wanted to give thanks to all the volunteers who made this semester’s events such a success,” said Derek Boyce, volunteer coordinator at the Alumni Association. “Our volunteers were the reason why Burgers and Bailey, Career Fair, and GradFest were so successful, productive, and fun.”

Alums who helped can pick up to five free tickets at the Bailey Center prior to tipoff at 2 p.m. Sunday against Lyon College at the Jack Stephens Center. For more information, call Boyce at 501-569-8387 or e-mail him at dcboyce@ualr.edu.

The volunteer effort reflects the growing membership of the UALR Alumni Association, said Autumn Henry ’05, coordinator of membership and marketing at the association.

“Thanks to our increasing membership this past year, our alumni helped to make the UALR Alumni Association the fastest growing association in Arkansas,” she said. “We are constantly encouraged by increasing evidence of the fundamental impact our alumni members are having in their communities across the globe. Their membership not only demonstrates their support in the association but also their alma mater. I encourage all alumni to ‘Show Your Pride and Keep the Connection’.”
