A University of Arkansas at Little Rock professor, student, and alumnus have created an app for an exhibit at the Clinton Presidential Center. 

Dr. Carolina Cruz-Neira, director of the Emerging Analytics Center and interim chair of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, is one of the featured speakers at the 45th annual Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques (SIGGRAPH) 2018. 

For those who have seen Tony Stark effortlessly controlling virtual computer screens in the “Iron Man” and “Avengers” movies, you have seen Zack Bolt’s vision for his research. 

Five college students from France who interned at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Emerging Analytics Center have created a 3D virtual tour of the UA Little Rock campus as well as augmented reality games to entertain children at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. 

Dr. Carolina Cruz-Neira, director of the Emerging Analytics Center at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, demonstrated how innovative virtual reality technology is changing the world for the better at Dell’s Jan. 10 VR for Good event at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

The Emerging Analytics Center at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 7-8, where visitors can see the latest cutting-edge technology in the world of virtual and augmented reality.

Scott Parazynski, a decorated physician and astronaut recently inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, will be the keynote speaker of an international virtual reality conference Dec. 7-9 at the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock.
