A new exhibit celebrating the Day of the Dead (known as Día de los Muertos in Spanish) opens this week in the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Ann Maners and Alex Pappas Gallery in the Fine Arts Building.

Anyone who is interested in getting a closer look at the surface of the moon can join the International Observe the Moon Night festivities Friday, Oct. 19, for a full night of lunar viewing. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Art Gallery will host its Faculty Biennial Show from Oct. 15 to Nov. 16 in the Brad Cushman Gallery in the Windgate Center of Art and Design.

A new exhibit at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock will feature 10 silkscreens that were donated to the closed Alternative Museum in New York City to protest cuts in public funding. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is hosting an exhibit, “It Was There All Along,” by photographer and book artist Frank Hamrick through Oct. 26 in the Focus Gallery in the Windgate Center of Art and Design. 

An art collector who was so moved by her experience visiting the students and employees of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has donated a painting to the university.

A chemistry professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has received $188,863 from the National Science Foundation to study experimental methods of developing organic optoelectronic materials.
