Trojan spirit was alive and well Friday, Aug. 15, as students, faculty, administrators, and staff welcomed the freshman class to the campus.

An exciting lineup of fun – and free – activities are taking place this week to kick off the first week of fall classes.

Goodwill Week, which takes place the first full week of May, was established to promote awareness of the organization’s life-changing mission. UALR staff and students recently contributed to that mission by collecting more than 700 pounds of clothing during its annual “Career Closet Suit Drive.”

UALR’s Office of Campus Life and student group, The Alliance, will host author Brock Thompson as he discusses his book “The Un-Natural State: Arkansas and the Queer South.”

We all know that cardboard boats tend to bob, sink, and generally fall apart in spectacular fashion faster than you can say Trojan Homecoming. That’s part of what makes this Friday’s Cardboard Boat Regatta so entertaining.

Friendly chatter and the sounds of plastic beads with medallions filled the foyer at the Donaghey Student Center Tuesday, Feb. 25.

The Office of Campus Life  at UALR is sponsoring its annual Martin Luther King Jr. week starting Monday, Jan. 20, with “A Day of Service” to honor and reflect upon Dr. King’s legacy.

A week’s worth of free activities will welcome students back to campus beginning Monday, Jan. 13. View the schedule and make plans to attend!

Each year, UALR observes International Celebration Week to promote awareness of national cultures and enhance cultural interactions between UALR students, faculty, staff, and the greater community.
