In her first appointment as chancellor of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Dr. Christina Drale has selected Dr. Ann Bain as executive vice chancellor and provost. The appointment is effective Oct. 16.

The new chancellor of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has started her term with an investment in the future of faculty members at UA Little Rock. 

The Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas today unanimously accepted UA System President Dr. Donald R. Bobbitt’s recommendation to name Christina Drale, Ph.D., chancellor of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

University of Arkansas System President Dr. Donald R. Bobbitt today named Christina Drale, Ph.D., acting chancellor of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Drale has served as interim executive vice chancellor and provost of the campus since October 2018. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock introduced 24 new faculty members to campus during the Faculty and Staff Convocation Aug. 16 in the University Theatre. 

Dr. Sarah Beth Estes has been named the permanent dean of the College of Arts, Letters, and Sciences at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, effective July 1. 

University of Arkansas at Little Rock professors Dr. Jin Wook Lee, Dr. Mariya Khodakovskaya, and Alicia Mitchell have been named the 2019 winners of the Faculty Excellence Awards.

Dr. Christina Drale has been named interim executive vice chancellor and provost at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, effective Nov. 1.

Dr. David Belcher, who served as provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock from 2003 to 2011, passed away Sunday, June 17, at the age of 60 after a two-year battle with brain cancer.
