The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is researching how places of worship in Little Rock work with nonprofit organizations to promote community engagement and provide social services to vulnerable populations. 

Dr. Sarah Beth Estes has been named the new interim dean of the College of Arts, Letters, and Sciences at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is the only university in Arkansas selected as an inaugural member of the Higher Education Anchor Mission Initiative.

A young member of UALR’s Children International was awarded a grant from Disney to create survival care kits for homeless people in Arkansas.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Staff Senate has teamed up with the UALR Student Marketing Association to collect bikes and accessories for an annual event benefitting the Recycle Bikes for Kids program.

Three UALR students will each complete eight-week internships in other parts of the country this summer as part of their study of poverty in the United States.

UALR was selected for the 2013 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll March 4 for commitment to service and civic engagement.
