Incoming students at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law began their first fall semester on Aug. 10 with a day of public service at Booker T. Washington Elementary School on South Main Street in Little Rock. 

After spending her spring break providing pro bono legal services to rural Arkansas residents, a recent graduate of the UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law is more committed than ever to providing legal help for state residents that have restricted access to lawyers. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Staff Senate honored three of its staff members for excellence in the areas of service to the university, community service, and personal growth. Each winner will receive a $1,000 prize.

More than 30 nursing students from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock brought some Christmas cheer to families in North Little Rock by volunteering at the annual “Shop with A Cop” program last month. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law has always emphasized the importance of public service to its students. 

Women’s Own Worth (W.O.W.), a nonprofit organization in Arkansas dedicated to assisting victims of violence, will honor a faculty member from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as the 2018 Woman of the Year. 

Several students from the UA Little Rock Bowen School of Law are being recognized for their numerous hours of public service during the 2017-18 academic year. 

A University of Arkansas at Little Rock professor and advocate for the deaf and hard of hearing has been recognized by Just Communities of Arkansas as a recipient of the 2018 Humanitarian Award.

Students entering sixth to 12th grade can learn the importance of community service and earn volunteer hours by participating in UA Little Rock Benton Campus’s Day of Service on Tuesday, June 26.
