In her first appointment as chancellor of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Dr. Christina Drale has selected Dr. Ann Bain as executive vice chancellor and provost. The appointment is effective Oct. 16.

More than 30 nursing students from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock brought some Christmas cheer to families in North Little Rock by volunteering at the annual “Shop with A Cop” program last month. 

Women’s Own Worth (W.O.W.), a nonprofit organization in Arkansas dedicated to assisting victims of violence, will honor a faculty member from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as the 2018 Woman of the Year.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has received an $800,000 gift from Dr. Bruce Murphy, president and chief executive officer of the Arkansas Heart Hospital, that will benefit students in the College of Education and Health Professions.

The first day of school tends to bring a roller coaster of emotions, from excitement and anxiety to anticipation. As UALR students said their final goodbyes to summer, they turned their focus to their long-term goals and sought to make their dreams come true.
