The project will allow the institutions to share resources (time, equipment, and volunteers) to educate students and the public on increasing accessibility to local, nutritious food for those in the community through the Trojan Food Pantry, community farm stand, and donations to local organizations, such as the Arkansas Hunger ReliefAlliance. The project will include workshops and workdays at Heifer’s Urban Farm, Ranch in Perryville, Ark., and UA Little Rock’s Campus Garden.

UA Little Rock Donaghey Scholar Dylan Wright will graduate Dec. 14 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and minors in economics, math, and creative writing. The Little Rock native has also studied human rights and social movements at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina during a study abroad trip offered by the Donaghey Scholars program.
