Joe Foley Named Among 100 Most Influential People in Women’s Basketball

Trojan fans call him the GOAT. His players call him Coach. Opponents often say things in frustration when facing him. Regardless, the legendary Hall of Fame Coach of Little Rock’s Team was recognized this week as he was named among the 100 Most Influential People in Women’s Basketball.

DeGray named Sun Belt Athlete of the Year

University of Arkansas at Little Rock forward Ronjanae DeGray, a two-time first team all-conference honoree, was named the Sun Belt Conference’s 2018-19 Athlete of the Year Oct. 7 as part of the league’s annual honors celebration event in New Orleans.

Trojan women to battle UConn in 2020, 2021

Little Rock basketball has announced a major addition to its future non-conference schedule as the Trojans have signed a two-game contract to face UConn in the fall of both 2020 and 2021. The 2020 game will be played in Connecticut, with the Huskies making a historic trip to the Jack Stephens Center in 2021. 

Dates announced for Joe Foley Women’s Basketball Camp

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has announced the dates for the 2018 edition of the Joe Foley Women’s Basketball Camp. The five-time Sun Belt Coach of the Year will be holding three camp sessions in June and one more in August. 

Little Rock to face Florida State in first round of NCAA tournament

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock women’s basketball team earned a No. 14 seed in the 2018 NCAA Tournament and will face No. 3 seed Florida State in the first round of the tournament at 10 a.m. (CT) Saturday, March 17, in Tallahassee, Florida. The matchup will air on ESPN2. 

NCAA sendoff for Trojan women set for Thursday

The Little Rock women’s basketball team is set to depart for its Saturday NCAA Tournament game in Tallahassee, Florida, from the Jack Stephens Center on Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. Fans are encouraged to come give the Trojans a proper send-off. 

Trojan women win Sun Belt Tournament Championship

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock women’s basketball punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament as it won the Sun Belt Tournament Championship for the fourth time with a 54-53 victory over No. 2 Texas State on Sunday night at Lakefront Arena.
