More than 150 Arkansas high school students are expected to participate in the Model Arab League at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Friday and Saturday, March 4-5.
Dr. George A. Lopez, chair of Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame, will present a lecture “Can We Achieve Peace in the War on Terror?” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in UALR’s Fine Arts Building.

Dr. David Cortright, director of policy studies at Notre Dame’s Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, will present a lecture, “Lessons from the Egyptian Revolution: The Power of Nonviolence,” at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, in the UALR Donaghey Student Center’s Ledbetter Hall B.
