The deadline for the fight song lyric competition is fast approaching, according to members of the UALR Student Government Association. The deadline for submissions is Jan. 23. The competition, which seeks to promote camaraderie and school spirit.

The Student Government Association (SGA) at UALR is hosting a fight song lyric competition through January 2015 to promote camaraderie and school spirit.

The Chinese Folk Music Orchestra from Qingdao University of Science and Technology will perform at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as part of their first-ever tour of the United States.

The UALR Concert Choir, under the leadership of conductor Kristina Marinova, will present its concert “In Journey Together…” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, in Stella Boyle-Smith Concert Hall, located in the UALR Fine Arts Building.

The UALR Percussion Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2., in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Building at UALR.

Jennifer Boccarossa, 30, conductor of the UALR Women’s Chorus and choir director at Mount St. Mary Academy, passed away at Baptist Medical Center Monday, Nov. 11, after suffering a hypertensive stroke.

The UALR music and theatre arts and dance departments will offer patrons several end-of-season performances this month.

A performance by pianist Dr. Roger McVey will close out this year’s Piano and Strings Festival at UALR.
