Ryan Miller has been hired as director of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Alumni Association.
Miller began his new position Thursday, Nov. 16. For the past two years, he has served as the associate director for student and young alumni outreach for the Arkansas Alumni Association at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
During that time, Miller grew student alumni association membership to the highest record membership in the 20-year history of the organization by doubling membership from the previous year. He also developed and improved campus-wide events.
Prior to working with alumni, Miller was the assistant director of U of A Conference Services in the Walton College of Business and also a program coordinator for executive education within the Walton College of Business.
“Ryan has a passion for higher education in Arkansas and a wealth of experience in alumni relations,” said Andrea Angel, associate vice chancellor for alumni and development. “We are proud to have him as the director of the UA Little Rock Alumni Association and look forward to strengthening the connection of our alumni with their alma mater through Ryan’s leadership.”
Miller earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Education in Higher Education Leadership, both from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
“The UA Little Rock Alumni Association is poised to create significant positive change on campus and throughout Central Arkansas, and I look forward to reconnecting our graduates to campus and showing them the new initiatives being made to strengthen our state,” Miller said.
“I am also very passionate about investing in current students to create a life-long connection – and allowing alumni to share their experiences to build a solid network of Trojans,” he said. “I look forward to joining the outstanding team at UA Little Rock and making an impact on this historic campus.”
