Cassandra Booker, a 2008 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, overcame incredible odds to graduate with the bachelor’s degree that she is so thankful for. Yet, her college journey is far from over.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has announced a major new student success initiative that offers half-off course tuition and fees for freshmen who enroll at UA Little Rock for the fall 2022 semester.

The UA Little Rock is one of 13 schools nationally selected to receive a NCAA Accelerating Academic Success Program (AASP) single-year initiative grant for the 2021-22 academic year.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has received approval by the Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas to hold tuition and fees flat for the second year in a row. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has received a $40,000 donation to create a student support fund in honor of Dr. Moira Maguire, a history professor who worked at UA Little Rock for 15 years and had a reputation of going above and beyond to help students succeed. 

Carla Griffin, student development specialist with the Donaghey College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, has been named the 2021 recipient of the Trojan Outstanding Academic Advisor Award at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has created a special fund for graduating students who need assistance to purchase a cap and gown. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will hold Giving Day 2021 on Thursday, March 18, to encourage friends of the university, employees, alumni, and students to come together to make a difference at UA Little Rock. 

Little Rock student-athletes once again posted another stellar performance in the classroom during the fall 2020 semester, finishing the fall term with a department GPA of 3.30. It extends the Trojans impressive streak of semesters above a 3.00 to 17-straight as the department boasts an overall cumulative GPA of 3.34.

While 2020 has been a year of unprecedented challenges for many individuals, one woman took the opportunity to complete the college degree she started in 2002 at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
