A veteran broadcast journalist and experienced public relations professional has joined the Alumni and Development team at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as the new director of development for planned giving and university initiatives. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will honor outstanding graduates Dr. Jaafer Golzar and Helaine Williams with the UA Little Rock Distinguished Alumni awards during a Nov. 4 ceremony at the Clinton Presidential Center.

Freddie Epperson, a native of North Little Rock, was born with cerebral palsy, but he’s never let that limitation keep him from living his life to the fullest and getting the education he wanted.

While Julie McCallister was finishing up her master’s degree at UA Little Rock in 2007, she had no idea that her part-time internship would turn into an opportunity with such enormous growth potential.

Wendell Scales Jr., a 2019 graduate of UA Little Rock, is leading a first-of-its-kind initiative to bring social justice courses to the Arkansas Lighthouse Academies’ five charter schools. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will hold a special event to celebrate Alumni Association members on Thursday, June 17, at the Little Rock Zoo. 

Audra McAnally has been out of school for less than three years, but the 25-year old entrepreneur has already opened her second business – a stylish throwback to the popular era of vinyl stores called Retro Rose. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will hold Giving Day 2021 on Thursday, March 18, to encourage friends of the university, employees, alumni, and students to come together to make a difference at UA Little Rock. 

Dr. Brian Berry, vice provost for research and dean of the Graduate School, has made a planned gift, currently valued at about $50,000, to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to support the Donaghey College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

A University of Arkansas at Little Rock graduate student is one step closer to fulfilling her dream of becoming a mental health counselor thanks to a $2,500 scholarship.
