The University of Arkansas at Little Rock University District has been named a 2016 Blossoming Community in recognition of the district’s efforts to promote health and wellness in partnership with the UALR School of Counseling, Human Performance and Rehabilitation. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will host a free Halloween celebration for UALR families and University District residents.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock University District honored a 22-year veteran of the UALR Police Department as its UALR Police Officer of the Year.

The University District Development Corporation will host three farmers markets on Thursdays in October to promote healthier eating through access to fresh fruits and vegetables. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock community and its neighbors are invited to the 2016 National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, Oct. 4.

The Friends of University District organization is accepting applications for a $1,000 scholarship created in May to honor longtime University of Arkansas at Little Rock Chancellor Joel E. Anderson.

In future years, residents of the area around the University of Arkansas at Little Rock campus will be eligible for a scholarship that honors retiring Chancellor Joel E. Anderson.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock gave a tribute to retiring Chancellor Joel E. Anderson during his final commencement ceremony as chancellor May 14 at the Jack Stephens Center.

Residents in the areas between University Avenue and Boyle Park Road and south of the Broadmoor neighborhood in Little Rock recently voted to form a neighborhood association.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock community and its neighbors can enjoy free food, prizes, and live music by the UALR pep band during a National Night Out observance from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the University Plaza parking lot.
