The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) is partnering with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law to conduct a free online workshop on Nov. 19 for entrepreneurs who are thinking about starting their first business during the pandemic.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will host two virtual panels on Thursday, Oct. 29, discussing African American and LatinX politics and the proposed Arkansas hate crime legislation. 

The UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law has selected Assistant Dean Rejena Grotjohn to lead its diversity initiatives.

Kimberly Vu-Dinh, an assistant professor at the UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law and the director of the law school’s Business Innovations Legal Clinic, was recently named a finalist for Little Rock Regional Minority Mentor of the Year.

Each year, the UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law Student Affairs Office selects a Student Organization of the Year. Selection is based on community involvement, on-campus engagement, and volunteerism.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will honor outstanding graduates Ron Sheffield, ’72 and ‘89, Becky Blass, ’73 and ’82, and Katie Zakrzewki, ’20, with its Distinguished Alumni awards during a virtual ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law has added four new faculty members for the 2020-21 academic year.

Professor Lindsey Gustafson has been named the associate dean for academic affairs at the UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, effective Aug. 17.

While 2020 has been a year full of challenges, the generosity of supporters of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has resulted in the university’s highest fundraising year to date with UA Little Rock alumni and friends donating a record-breaking $47,941,061.
