The University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Friends of the Arts will host its annual Student and Faculty Holiday Art Sale Nov. 14-15 at the Windgate Center of Art and Design. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will open three new exhibits in October in the Windgate Center of Art and Design featuring the charcoal drawings by Gonzalo Fuenmayor, photography by Simen Johan, and an installation annex by Anaïs Dassé.

Artist Meena Khalili will give a lecture on her exhibit, “New in LOU, Drawn Daily,” on Thursday, Sept. 26 at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will hold a free public lecture and weekend workshop on creating scientific visualization graphics.

Stacy Owens, an art teacher at Pinnacle View Middle School, found the opportunity to take a free graphic design workshop for teachers at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock this summer serendipitous, considering she will begin teaching graphic design again this fall after many years of not teaching the course.

Erasto Carrananza, a photographer since 1989, has been studying historic photographic processes for more than 15 years. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Art Gallery will showcase new pieces of art that the university has added to its permanent art collection over the past two years. 

Photography by Carey Roberson, a former UA Little Rock art and photography professor, is on display through June 28 in the Focus Gallery of the Windgate Center of Art and Design, located at 28th Street and Campus Drive East.

Joli Livaudais, assistant professor of photography, will hold a photography exhibit at the Argenta Branch of the William F. Laman Public Library from May 17 to June 15. 

University of Arkansas at Little Rock students showcased their academic work this semester at the recent Student Research and Creative Works Expo held April 18 in the Jack Stephens Center.
