The UA Little Rock Wind Ensemble will hold its spring semester concert on Feb. 20.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Building on the UA Little Rock campus.

The Wind Ensemble, directed by Dr. Michael Underwood, advanced instructor of music, will perform classics from the great composers of the late 19th and 20th centuries.

The performance will begin with Manuel De Falla’s “The Miller’s Dance” that will feature principal horn Geoffrey Sims and Al Farmer on English Horn. The concert will also include an arrangement of Paul Hindemith’s “Interludium in Eb” from Ludus Tonalis, the 20th century version of J. S. Bach’s “The Well Tempered Clavier.” The ensemble will then perform three movements from Edward MacDowell’s “Sea Pieces” and conclude with “His Honor March” by Henry Fillmore.
