Want to Start a Business? ASBTDC Announces Dates for Startup Crash Course

Aspiring business owners have several opportunities this fall to attend the Startup Crash Course offered by UA Little Rock’s Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center.

The sessions will be held in five cities: Little Rock, Stuttgart, Pine Bluff, Hot Springs and Cabot.

In three hours, the class covers the essential components of starting a business in Arkansas and creating a business plan to guide your entrepreneurial journey. ASBTDC’s Brandon Horvath and Dmitri Scott will lead the training. All sessions are from 3-6 p.m.

  • Tuesday, Sept. 26, Cadence Bank, 412 S. Main St., Stuttgart
  • Thursday, Oct. 12, Pine Bluff Main Public Library, 600 S. Main St., Pine Bluff
  • Thursday, Oct. 26, Garland County Library, 1427 Malvern Ave., Hot Springs
  • Thursday, Nov. 16, Veterans Park Event Center, 508 N. Lincoln St., Cabot
  • Tuesday, Nov. 28, UA Little Rock Reynolds Business Center, 2801 S. University Ave., Little Rock

There is no charge to participate, but pre-registration is recommended. Go to asbtdc.org/asbtdc-events to sign up.

In two locations, future business owners can also meet one-on-one with an ASBTDC business consultant. Scott will hold open office hours in Stuttgart Sept. 26 and in Pine Bluff Oct. 12 from 12-2 p.m. Call 800-862-2040 for more information.
