UA Little Rock to Host Sustainability Day Oct. 26

The UA Little Rock campus community is invited to celebrate Sustainability Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, in the Chi Omega Courtyard Plaza next to the Donaghey Student Center.

Sustainability Day is an opportunity to celebrate and cultivate choices for sustainable living that lead to healthy environments, economies, and societies.

UA Little Rock is partnering with the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Research and Extension office to hold a cleanup of Coleman Creek. Volunteers are welcome to participate.

The event will also include Entergy Arkansas giving away eco-friendly LED light bulbs and power strips, beekeeping demonstrations with UA Little Rock’s beekeeper Peter Stuckey, and visits from UA Little Rock’s mascot Maximus.

Onsite vendors will include Arkansas Game and Fish, Beef Snob/Barham’s Ozark Beef, Briar Unbound, Calm+Confidence, City of Little Rock Sustainability Office, Fauna Fabulous Flora Farm, Fennel and Fire Crafting House, Forever Flowers, Fortune Francos, Keep Little Rock Beautiful, Little Rock Wastewater Authority, Natural State Recycling, Njeri’s Pastries, Sacred Earth Gifts, Southern Twisted Tea, Tesla Owners Club of Arkansas, UA Little Rock Wellness, and UA Little Rock Campus Garden.
