The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Art Gallery will hold an exhibition honoring the 2023-24 recipients of the university’s artLAUNCH program.

The artLAUNCH exhibition, which is free and open to the public, will be on display in the Focus Gallery in the Windgate Center of Art and Design from April 8 to May 10. UA Little Rock will hold a reception to honor the artists from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in the Windgate Center of Art and Design.

UA Little Rock started the artLAUNCH program in 2022 to provide early career alumni artists with funding, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to accelerate their artistic pursuits. The program is funded by a grant by the Windgate Foundation.

The program is open to graduates from the School of Art and Design who have graduated within the past five years. Each recipient receives a $10,000 incubator award to help jump start their career, a mentor, access to UA Little Rock art facilities and equipment, and an art exhibition to feature their work to the public.

The 2023-24 artLAUNCH recipients and featured artists in the exhibition include Anna Culpepper, photography; Andrew Myers, furniture design; Robert Nida, illustration; Gabi Vernor, painting, drawing, and mixed media art; and Annika Wade, painting.

The UA Little Rock Art Galleries in the Windgate Center are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, and 2-5 p.m. Sunday.
