UA Little Rock to Celebrate Earth Day April 18

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is celebrating Earth Day with a celebration featuring local vendors and a Coleman Creek Cleanup.

The Earth Day celebration will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in front of the Donaghey Student Center.

UA Little Rock is partnering with Keep Little Rock Beautiful for a cleanup of Coleman Creek. T-shirts, grabbers, and trash bags will be available for those participating in the cleanup.

UA Little Rock’s Peter Stuckey will be giving beekeeping demonstrations featuring bees from the Campus Garden. UA Little Rock’s Campus Garden, Career Services, Career Closet, and Wellness and Intramural Sports will also be in attendance.

Local vendors will be on hand with plants, recycling demos, sustainability education, and additional goods and services. The vendors include Bright & Bone, City of Little Rock Sustainability Office, Forever Flowers, Fortune Francos, Friends of Fourche Creek, Harley and Charlie Creations, Heather Reed House Plants, Man of the Earth, Melba Peach Candle Company, Metro Plan, Purely Essential 4 Life, Sacred Earth Gifts, Short Weaver Studio, Southern Twisted Tea, and Tesla Owners of Arkansas.
