UA Little Rock’s Dr. Ahmed Halimeh Promotes STEM Excellence at International Higher Education Event in Saudi Arabia

UA Little Rock is expanding its global STEM presence through Dr. Ahmed A. Halimeh’s participation in the 14th MENA International Higher Education Road Show in September in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The MENA Road Show is a premier international recruitment event that connects top universities, colleges, and professional organizations with students and education leaders from across the Middle East and North Africa. The gathering provides a valuable platform for promoting academic programs, building partnerships, and advancing cross-cultural collaboration in higher education.
“This represents an important opportunity to promote the University of Arkansas at Little Rock on an international stage while highlighting the strengths of the Donaghey College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics,” Halimeh said. “This event provides a valuable platform to engage with prospective students, institutional partners, and education leaders from across the Middle East and North Africa region, showcasing UA Little Rock’s academic excellence, research innovation, and commitment to global engagement.”
This marks Dr. Halimeh’s third consecutive year representing UA Little Rock at the MENA Road Show, following previous appearances in Jordan and Egypt. Over the past three years, his efforts have helped expand the university’s reach, strengthen long-term relationships with regional partners, and attract more international students to UA Little Rock’s growing STEM programs.
“Participating in this series has played a key role in recruiting more students from the MENA region, expanding our international reach, and strengthening long-term relationships with regional education partners,” he said. “I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Dr. Elizabeth Pierce for supporting this initiative over the past two years and to Dr. Brian Berry for his support and for covering the costs associated with this year’s trip. Their continued encouragement has been instrumental in sustaining UA Little Rock’s presence and success in this important international outreach effort.”
Dr. Halimeh said his ongoing participation in the MENA Road Show underscores UA Little Rock’s commitment to international recruitment and global engagement.
“Through this and future participations, I aim to further enhance UA Little Rock’s international visibility, attract high-quality students from the MENA region, expand DCSTEM’s global impact, and contribute to the university’s mission of advancing knowledge, diversity, and innovation,” he said.
