The University of Arkansas at Little Rock welcomed nearly 2,000 prospective students and their families to campus for Discover, the university’s largest preview day in school history.

The high-energy event gave future Trojans a chance to experience campus life first-hand through academic showcases, student panels, admissions support, and interactive sessions with faculty and staff.

The record-breaking turnout reflects the university’s growing enrollment momentum, building on a 40% increase in first-time freshmen in fall 2025.

As part of the event, UA Little Rock announced a waiver of its $40 undergraduate application fee through Dec. 31, 2025, eliminating another financial barrier for students and reinforcing the university’s role as a leader in college affordability.

“We want students to know that nothing should stand between them and their goals—not even an application fee,” said Dr. Cody Decker, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. “This waiver is another example of how UA Little Rock is committed to making a high-quality college education more affordable, accessible, and achievable for students across Arkansas and beyond.”

The new waiver joins a suite of affordability initiatives, including the Trojan Guarantee and Half-Off Scholarship, which have saved students more than $6.5 million since their launch. Combined, these programs have supported nearly 2,000 students, helping them save an average of $3,900 each.

The Trojan Guarantee provides students with Pell-eligibility the opportunity to earn a zero-tuition bachelor’s degree, while the Half-Off Scholarship provides students with half-off tuition for two years, regardless of financial need. These initiatives showcase UA Little Rock’s commitment to making a high-quality education accessible and affordable.

The full value of a UA Little Rock education extends beyond the classroom. Discover, one of the university’s most impactful recruitment events, gives prospective students a firsthand look at the strong academic programs, personalized support, and vibrant campus experience that define the Trojan journey. With more than 800 student-led events each year and nearly 6,500 students engaged in campus activities, UA Little Rock fosters a dynamic environment where students can connect, lead, and thrive.
