UA Little Rock to Honor Veterans and Military Service Members at Annual Ceremony

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will honor veterans and military service members during its annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in the auditorium on the first floor of the Charles W. Donaldson Student Success Center.
This annual event recognizes the dedication, service, and sacrifice of veterans and active-duty military personnel. This year, UA Little Rock is proud to welcome Colonel Erin B. Burns as the keynote speaker.
Colonel Burns currently serves as Commander of the 189th Mission Support Group at Little Rock Air Force Base with the Arkansas Air National Guard. In this role, he leads more than 400 military and civilian personnel supporting both global and domestic operations.
A proud graduate of UA Little Rock’s William H. Bowen School of Law, Colonel Burns has held numerous leadership roles across the Arkansas National Guard. His distinguished military career includes deployments to Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates, and he has earned multiple commendations, including the Defense Meritorious Service Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal.
Following the ceremony, lunch will be served in the Trojan Café, located in the Donaghey Student Center. Military and veteran students are invited to enjoy a complimentary meal by checking in at the Military Student Services table near the café entrance.
UA Little Rock is proud to celebrate the service and contributions of its military-affiliated students, alumni, faculty, and staff. The Veterans Day Ceremony is a meaningful opportunity for the campus community to come together in appreciation of those who have served.
