The UA Little Rock School of Literary and Performing Arts invites audiences to set sail for adventure with its production of “Peter and the Starcatcher,” running Oct. 23–26, in the University Theatre. Admission is free; however, tickets must be reserved online.

Packed with swashbuckling pirates, clever orphans, and more, this Tony Award-winning play reimagines the century-old story of how a miserable orphan boy becomes the legendary Peter Pan.

“‘Peter and the Starcatcher’ is ensemble storytelling at its best,” said Stacy Pendergraft, SLPA’s producing artistic director, who will direct the play. “The imaginative challenge for actors in terms of physicality and swashbuckling style is significant. It’s quite a romp of a show, a playful, heartwarming story celebrating the power of friendship and human connection.”

Audiences will be transported to a world of adventure, friendship, and discovery as they watch an orphan boy and his friends battle greedy pirates and uncover the mysteries of Neverland. With its inventive staging and quick-witted humor, the play captures the timeless magic of growing up and the joy of holding on to childhood wonder.

Performance Schedule:

Evening Performances: October 23–24 at 7:30 p.m.

Matinee Performances: October 25 and 26 at 2:30 p.m.
