Kimberly Porter is an Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She received her RN from Baptist School of Nursing in 1993 after completing a BA in Journalism at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1990. She earned her MNSc at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1998 with an emphasis in Nursing Administration.
Her nursing experience includes work as a staff nurse (med-surg and oncology) and hospital educator. In 2001, she began teaching in the pre-licensure program associate degree program. Since 2016, she has been teaching in the RN-BSN program online program. All courses in the RN-BSN program are Quality Matters © (QM) certified or are in the process of obtaining certification. Quality, Safety and Education for Nurses (QSEN) competencies are utilized in all courses. Her research interests include faculty evaluation, incivility, and aromatherapy.
