Dr. Richard Lewis joined the faculty in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as an assistant professor in fall 2018. He earned a Ph.D. at the College of Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. He also has a Master of Science in biology and Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in statistics. Dr. Lewis’s primary research interests are the role of biological factors in antisocial behavior and consequences of trauma. He has been a part of several primary data collections and has received training and the ability to work in a genetic lab extracting, quantifying, and genotyping samples and working with steroids such as cortisol and testosterone. Currently Dr. Lewis is starting a CJBio lab in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
