Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science in health education and promotion is designed to prepare students as health professionals in community health agencies, health maintenance organizations, as well as business and industry wellness programs. The 120-hour online degree program is also designed to assist the entry-level health educator in taking the National Health Education Credentialing examination. An 18-hour minor program of study is required with this degree.

Admission Requirements

To be fully admitted into this program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
  • Be formally admitted to UA Little Rock.  Undergraduate admission requirements for the university can be found in our “Become a Student” section.
  • 2.00 GPA and a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Graduation Requirements

This degree program requires a minimum of 120 credit hours, including an 18-hour minor course of study. All required courses for the health education and promotion major are available online in traditional semester-length format. See the Undergraduate Catalog for more details about this program.
