Provost Fellow Program

The Office of the Provost is accepting application for a Provost Fellow, an interim one-year appointment for faculty interested in gaining leadership experience and knowledge of university-level operations in the Division of Academic Affairs. This is a one year position, from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027, and is a direct report to the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost.
The Provost Fellow is a 50% appointment with an expectation of 20 hours per week in the Office of the Provost. If the selected faculty member is currently in a 9 month appointment, salary adjustments for this position will include a salary calculation of 20 hours per week during the summer plus a stipend. If the selected faculty member is a 12 month appointment, salary adjustment for this position will include a stipend.
Position Responsibilities
- Completion of Teaching Workload Policy Revision Project
- Review and respond to academic student complaints
- Facilitate the Academic Grade Appeal Process at the Provost level
- Assist with Academic Program Review
- Support the University New Faculty Mentoring Program
- Support the New Faculty Orientation Program
- Other duties as assigned
Eligibility
- Tenured Associate Professor or Professor
- Able to step into this half-time role without significant detriment to their home academic unit
