The minor in Spanish offers you the opportunity to develop your Spanish language skills and your cultural awareness so that you can use what you learn in your community and in your workplace. It consists of 18 credit hours, or approximately 6 courses. After students complete the Spanish Core Curriculum, students must take 9 credit hours of electives (shown above in red) and have at least 3 credit hours in a 40000 course.
If you have prior experience with Spanish, you will need to complete the Emmersion Foreign Language Placement Test via the Office of Testing Services before registering to determine your language proficiency and course placement.
Study abroad, internships, and extra-curricular opportunities like the Spanish Club are available as part of the minor.
