U.S. National Domestic Violence Awareness Month is recognized each October. This year, UA Little Rock has increased programming across campus to bring awareness to the signs and resources available to prevent and respond to Domestic and Dating Violence.

October 3, 2022: Domestic Violence Resource Table
- 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Center Foyer
- Come visit with the Director of Title IX and get resources about domestic violence and Title IX.
October 4, 2022: Title IX Talks: Title IX at UA Little Rock
- 12:30 p.m. via Zoom
- The Director of Title IX will provide general information about Title IX and answer any questions about UA Little Rock’s Title IX policy and procedure.
October 5, 2022: Domestic Violence Resource Table
- 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Center
- Come visit with the Director of Title IX and get resources about domestic violence and Title IX.
October 11, 2022: Domestic Violence Resource Table

October 12, 2022: Title IX Talks: Title IX Reporting and Training

- The Director of Title IX will discuss how to report Title IX policy violations and the importance of campus-wide training in Safe Colleges.

- Come visit with the Director of Title IX at the MCC! Emily Bell will be on hand to discuss navigating the Title IX process and answer any questions about Title IX at UA Little Rock.
October 20, 2022: Wear Purple Thursday
- 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Center Solicitation Area
- Come visit with the Director of Title IX and get resources about domestic violence and Title IX.
- We wear purple today to honor victims and support survivors of domestic violence. Purple symbolizes survival, courage, and peace.
October 27, 2022: Escalation Film Showing and Discussion
- 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Center, Meeting Room D
- Escalation is a film that honestly and compellingly tells the story of an abusive relationship –– from its sweet beginnings to the tragic end.
