J. Bruce McMath is the Chair of the Arkansas Natural Sky Association. He is also a retired civil trial lawyer and has served on a number of environmental organizations including past president of the Central Arkansas Astronomical Society.
In this lecture he discusses the many environmental impacts associated with the abuse of artificial light at night. These include not only the wasted energy but the biological impacts to wildlife and the risks to human health.
