There is no better or faster way to build proficiency in another language than to immerse yourself in the language and culture. For that reason, UA Little Rock language students are strongly encouraged to study abroad at least once during their undergraduate career. In addition to receiving credit for academic courses taken abroad, our students can also receive an additional three hours of experiential credit (LANG 2350 or 4350). Students interested in studying abroad in French or Spanish, please visit with your World Languages academic advisor or contact the Department of World Languages at 501.916.3272 or worldlanguages@ualr.edu to schedule an appointment with a World Languages faculty advisor to discuss study abroad options.
Types of Study Abroad Programs
Each summer our department provides faculty-led programs (each approximately 5 weeks) in Spain, Latin America, and France. Our students also study abroad in other programs all over the world for varying lengths of time (from 1-2 weeks to semester and academic year).
Think You Can’t Study Abroad?
