Marketing Intern – Connect Arkansas

Work Schedule: 20 – 25 hrs./wk., Between 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Flexible Days

Rate of Pay: $10.00/hr.

Connect Arkansas is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit dedicated to increasing high-speed Internet subscription rates and improving and sustaining Internet adoption throughout Arkansas.  Connect Arkansas has a variety of programs being implemented across the state that are focused on bridging the gaps in Internet education, affordability, and access.  Connect Arkansas is an affiliate of the Arkansas Capital Corporation.

Job Description:

Candidate will be primarily responsible for the following duties:

  1. Answering and returning phone calls to people interested in learning more about Connect Arkansas and their programs in response to the ongoing marketing campaign.

  2. Research associated with the ever changing broadband landscape in Arkansas as well as the United States.

  3. Data Entry and analysis of community surveys and other broadband related information.

  4. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently on an ongoing basis with multiple constituencies.

  • Demonstrated proficiency of advanced use of computers, high-speed Internet, and Microsoft Office software.

  • Ability to be flexible and willing to flow with unexpected changes, and work creatively and positively with the Connect Arkansas team to solve problems, keeping project goals at the forefront.

  • Ability to prepare and present oral and written information and reports; some on short  notice.
