Discover is happening on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.! In 2023, nearly 1,000 students and guests attended Discover, which is UA Little Rock’s largest recruitment event. Students told us how much they loved connecting with real people on campus. Faculty, staff, and students can sign up now for Discover.
Campus partner signup closed on Friday, October 18, at 5:00 p.m. We are still accepting Volunteer Your Time sign-ups until October 30 at 5:00 p.m.

Prior to the Welcome session, you can showcase your department or office during the morning Academic Expo. If you are on this list, you are someone students want to see!

The Expo will take place at the Jack Stephens Center, and you will be provided a table and two chairs. Students love being able to take something away from your table, whether that be handouts or freebies.

Host an Academic Session.

After the Academic Sessions, students will be free to grab lunch and explore campus! To make their adventure more fun, we will have tents all across campus. Come up with a fun activity for students and sign up for a tent! Or, sign up for a “pop-up” activity (Examples: tours of a lab, choir concert)!

Ideas for a great Tent
When you sign up for a Tent (a booth), you are coming up with a small, fun activity that can happen at your tent throughout the afternoon. Here are a few examples from past Discover Tents:

Pop-up Activities are similar to a pop-up shop or food truck: You may not be there the whole time, but you offer a surprise activity or service at a unique location! Here are some of the Pop-up Activities in the past:

Discover is a very large event to host on campus, and Admissions needs your help! Take a look at the volunteer schedule and add your name to an activity you think you will enjoy at a time that works for you. We are happy to provide documentation to students who need volunteer hours for a scholarship or student organization!
