Visiting Writers Series: Beth Anne Fennelly

On April 10th, the 2026 Visiting Writers Series will feature Beth Ann Fennelly, a Distinguished Professor of English in the University of Mississippi MFA program, and the former Poet Laureate of Mississippi. She is the author of three poetry books, Open House, Tender Hooks, and Unmentionables; a book of nonfiction, Great with Child; and two collections of micro-memoirs, Heating and Cooling, and The Irish Goodbye. With her husband, Tom Franklin, she co-authored the novel, The Tilted World. Her work has earned three Pushcart Prizes, an NEA grant, an Academy of American Poets grant, a Fulbright fellowship, and other honors, including being featured in The Best American Poetry series.

The reading will take place at 2:00 p.m. in the Stella Boyle Concert Hall. This event is free and open to the public. Please join us!
