The Emerging Analytics Center and the EIT Building at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock provide advanced high performance computing services through a sophisticated data center infrastructure managed by dedicated systems administration staff.
Under the leadership of Systems Administrator Hadi Rashid, the center focuses on automated configuration of pools of computing, storage, and networking resources to build an OpenStack-based cloud and a high-performance computing platform within the EIT’s data-center facility.
This infrastructure complements the EAC’s immersive environments by providing the computational backbone necessary for real-time rendering, large-scale data processing, and collaborative research initiatives across multiple disciplines, making it a comprehensive resource for both academic research and industry partnerships requiring significant computational power.
