2/10 BINF Balasubramaniam and Williams Dr. Balasubramaniam (UAMS) will first present the need for Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulation, and use of MD simulation in biomedical research, including different types of MD simulation algorithms available. Dr. Phil Williams (UA Little Rock) will continue the second part of the presentation by giving all the technical details about the WebGRO tool which was developed at UAMS for this purpose. 3/17 IFSC Raffaela Lesch Dr. Lesch is a new faculty member in the UA Little Rock Biology Department. She works with audio (sound) data in her research. She is currently studying how domestication changed the voice producing structures between dogs and wolves. She will be sharing the results of her research as well as the techniques she used to compare and contrast patterns in audio data. 4/14 IFSC Yegeniy Vorobeychik Dr. Yevgeniy Vorobeychik is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis’ McKelvey School of Engineering. His work focuses on game theoretic modeling of security and privacy, adversarial machine learning, algorithmic and behavioral game theory and incentive design, optimization, agent-based modeling, complex systems, network science and epidemic control.
