Visiting Writers Series: Beth Anne Fennelly

The Visiting Writers Series welcomes Beth Anne Fennelly on April 10, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall. Sponsored by the English program, this special event will feature Beth Anne Fennelly,

Poet Laureate of Mississippi from 2016 to 2021 and a faculty member at the University of Mississippi. She has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, United States Artists, the Academy of American Poets, and the Fulbright Program. Her work has earned three Pushcart Prizes and has been featured in The Best American Poetry series. Fennelly is the author of Open House, Tender Hooks, Unmentionables, Great with Child, Heating and Cooling: 52 Micro-Memoirs, The Irish Goodbye: Micro-Memoirs, and the co-authored novel The Tilted World with Tom Franklin.
