Awaad Al Sarkhi is an international graduate student working to obtain her Ph.D. in Computer and Information Sciences. During her time at UA Little Rock she has earned the Outstanding Research Award.

“I have learned and experienced so many new things in such a short time. While all of my classes have been great, my dissertation research has been my biggest enjoyment. Through my research I have developed my programming skills. My Ph.D. advisor Dr. John R. Talburt provided the resources and support I needed to be successful. During my time here, I was able to obtain the Outstanding Research Award! Life at UA Little Rock has been a great experience and I plan to continue my educational career through a postdoctoral research program after I graduate.”
