Professor cummings participated as a panelist evaluating the NFL player protests during the National Anthem and examining the First Amendment and political implications of the protests. cummings discussed the impetus of the protests, led by Colin Kaepernick, as protesting police brutality and racial inequality in the Criminal Justice System.
