Getting started is easy. Follow these steps to join the Bowen Roommate Google Group and begin connecting with fellow law students.
Join the Private Google Group
Request access using your ualr.edu email address. Once your membership is approved, you’ll be able to view discussions and post housing listings.
Share or Search Listings
Looking for a roommate? Have a room available? Browse existing listings or create your own to connect with fellow Bowen students.
Connect with Members
Reply within the Google Group or contact another member directly to discuss housing details and make arrangements.
Creating an Effective Listing
Whether you’re looking for a roommate or have a room available, including the following information will help other students determine whether you’re a good match.
- Whether you’re looking for housing or have a room available
- Type of housing (house, apartment, condo, etc.)
- Approximate distance from the law school
- Your year in law school
- Whether you’re a day or evening student
- Whether pets are allowed or if you have pets
- Expected rent or roommate contribution
- The best way to contact you
Remember: Once you’ve found a roommate, please update or remove your listing so the group stays current for everyone.

Posting Guidelines
- You can control how you receive email from the group. See how to adjust your settings.
- There are two ways to post to the group:
- Go to the group itself, or
- Send an email to the group. You can only send emails using your ualr.edu email address.
- Replying to the group is possible:
- Within the group itself, or
- By replying to a group message in your inbox.
- Group members are able to contact each other directly via email or through the group list.
Community Expectations
- Remove your listing once you’ve found housing.
- Listings are moderated.
- Bowen does not endorse or verify listings.
- Members are verified as law students.
