Liz Harris joined Bowen as a legal writing specialist after building experience in judicial clerkships, federal practice and public service. She has clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas and the Arkansas Court of Appeals. She also worked as an attorney for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and served as an AmeriCorps attorney at the Center for Arkansas Legal Services, where she provided civil legal assistance to low-income veterans.

Harris earned her J.D. with honors from the UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law in 2018. While in law school, she served as notes and comments editor of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Law Review and published a student note.

Harris believes clear, succinct and accurate writing is an indispensable skill for lawyers and judges. She enjoys helping law students strengthen their legal writing and develop greater confidence in communicating complex ideas.
