Toys for Tots selects UALR as toy drop location
The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve has again selected the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as one of its official toy drop-off locations for its Toys for Tots program.
The Office of Campus Life and the Non-Traditional Student Organization are collecting toys as part of the annual program that helps children across the nation have a better Christmas.
Donor stations will be set up in the Donaghey Student Center and the Student Services Center, according to Non-Traditional Student Programs Coordinator Cynda Alexander.
In the DSC, locations will be in the Office of Campus Life, UALR Bookstore, Diamond Cafe, and Starbucks.
In the SSC, the donor stations will be in the main lobby of the second floor and in the foyer of the cashier’s office.
Toys should be new and unwrapped. Toys and monetary donations may be dropped off at the Non-Traditional Student office until Monday, Dec. 16. Arrangements can also be made with Alexander for pickups at cmalexander@ualr.edu.
This year marks the second time UALR has participated as an official Toys for Tots drop site. Last year, the UALR campus contributed approximately 400 toys for distribution to less fortunate families before the holidays.
