UA Little Rock to host summer baseball camps

Gary Hogan Field

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will host its 2018 Summer Kids Skills Camp and Summer Showcase on June 18-20 and July 19.

The first camp will be the Summer Kids Camp for young ball players entering grades 1-7 and will be held from June 18-20. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The camp will focus on developing the fundamentals for young ball players to excel in every phase of the game.

A Summer Showcase will then be held on July 19 for all high school players entering grades 9-12 and junior college athletes heading into their freshman or sophomore year. The camp will be an all day event beginning at 11 a.m. and highlight pro-style workouts including the 60-yard dash, arm-grades, bullpen sessions and batting practice to provide quality instruction for potential student-athletes.

Each camp is designed for players to get first-hand experience with Head Coach Chris Curry and the Little Rock baseball coaching staff. Enrollment is on a first come-first serve basis.

Check-in for both camps will be 45 minutes prior to the camp’s starting time.

The cost for each camp is $150 with credit cards and bank account withdrawals accepted.
